MPL invites you to a series of movie matinees every Tuesday in July at 2:00PM in the Main Library's Auditorium! Series theme is "Stars and Stripes." All matinees are free of charge and open to the general public. ATTEND TO WIN AN eREADER! For every matinee you attend, you will be able to enter your name in a drawing for an eReader. Drawing will be held at the July 31st matinee. You do not need to have a McAllen library card, and you do not have to be present at the July 31st matinee to win the eReader. July 3 Movie Matinee: The aliens have arrived and they are destroying our greatest cities. The survivors devise a plan to fight back against the enslaving aliens, and July 4th becomes the day humanity will fight for its freedom. Stars Will Smith, Bill Pullman and Jeff Goldblum. Title: Because of licensing restrictions we cannot promote the movie's title online, but feel free to contact the Main Library's Information Desk at 956-681-3061 to confirm the title of the movie we're screening.
