Library Preparing for Final ArtWalk of the Season

MCALLEN, TX – McAllen Library invites the public to see, feel, and hear art during the final ArtWalk of the 2010-2011 season. Art lovers will see original work in all mediums, on display and for vending, in the heart of McAllen’s Arts District. Talented artists and artisans are lining up, and all are welcome to join us Friday, May 6, 6-10PM at 601 N. Main St.

The artists being featured May 6 include:

  • Connie Espinosa: Portraiture
  • Alex Coronado: Acrylic paintings, portraiture
  • Jose Balli: Oil paintings, impressionism
  • RGV Quilt Guild: Quilts, quilted items
  • Rebecca Zarate: Recycled art
  • Veteran’s Memorial HS will display their work

Children and Teens will be able to enjoy a hands-on craft.

Also, be sure to visit the New Library Ambassadors’ table. Library staff will be on site to answer questions and offer information about the New Main Library, projected to open in the Fall of 2011! While you’re there, pick up a souvenir or two.
