MPL to Launch SRP 2011
MCALLEN, TX — McAllen Public Library invites all children and teens from infancy through entering 12th grade to register for the Summer Reading Program 2011. This year’s theme for kids is “Dig up a good book!” For teens, the theme is “Going global, staying connected.”
Interested youth may participate according to the following dates:
First day to register: Monday, June 6
First day to report: Monday, June 13
Last day to register: Friday, July 15
Last day to report: Friday, July 22
Participants can both register and report their reading online through a special site:
http://bit.ly/srp2011
Participants may read books, audio books, graphic novels, and Manga, as well as TumbleBooks titles. Participants earn incentives by reporting their reading, and those who reach their goal receive an invitation to one of the two end-of-program parties in July.
