MPL Ready for November ArtWalk
MCALLEN, TX – McAllen Library invites the public to see, feel, and hear art during the 2011-2012 season of ArtWalk. Art lovers will see original work in all mediums, on display and for vending, in the heart of McAllen’s Arts District. Talented artists and artisans are lining up, and all are welcome to join us Friday, November 4, 6-10PM at 601 N. Main St.
The artists being featured November 4 include:
- Stefani Sylvas: Acrylic, abstract
- Raymundo Santos: Eco-friendly art
- Lupe Vasquez: Abstract, landscapes, and pen and ink
- Heather Posz: Dia de los Muertos and ethnic paintings
- Nancy Munoz: Knitting, macramé and woven beads
- Vanguard will display their work
Children and Teens will be able to enjoy a hands-on craft of papel picado.
Also, library staff will be on site to answer questions and offer information about the New Main Library, scheduled to open December 10, 2011!
