“Mexico” Mike Nelson Presentation and Book Signing on May 23

McAllen, TX, May 12, 2010 – “Mexico” Mike Nelson will read from his new book, Modern Mexico: Through the Eyes of Modern Mexicans, at McAllen Memorial Library on Sun., May 23 at 2 p.m. in the first floor, Exhibit Room.

Modern Mexico is a collection of interviews with 30 mostly middle-class people from Tijuana to Cozumel telling their stories of life in modern Mexico. “If you are a tourist who wants to know more about Mexico than how to order a margarita,” Nelson writes, “you’ll enjoy this book.” The well-traveled author speaks with experience and humor about the people and places of Mexico and will autograph copies of his book after the reading.
