Introducing the New MPL Library Card
MCALLEN,
TX – McAllen Public Library is happy to announce the release of its new
permanent library card. Starting July 16 the new library card is available to
the public, current and new cardholders at all locations. The card is free for
new cardholders, and current cardholders will be charged a $3 replacement fee.
Each
card comes in a set containing 1 wallet-size card and 1 key tag. The set comes pre-made and features a
colorful image of the library’s tower on the front side. The flip side features
a unique barcode and library contact information.
Things
to keep in mind about the new library card:
Replacement fee.
The card is
free to new cardholders. Current patrons, patrons who have lost their old card,
and patrons who possess a card from another Hidalgo County Library System
library must pay a replacement fee of $3.
Speedier
registration process for new cardholders. Because the card is pre-made and
because new account registration is completed online, new cardholders should
look forward to a registration process that is faster and more convenient than
ever before!
