MPL welcomes patrons in need of one-on-one reference assistance. New to the library? Need help with a research project? Are computers and the Internet a complete mystery to you? Book A Librarian for a free, 30-minute, personalized help session.
Each request will be analyzed and routed to the appropriate expert on staff, who will then contact you as soon as possible to schedule your personal appointment.
This service is available at all three McAllen Library locations, and there is a limit of 2 appointments per four-month period.
Examples of things we could help you with: basic computer skills, using the internet, email account setup, homework/research assistance, library catalog searching, personal tour of the library, and so on.
