Meeting Rooms
MPL meeting rooms are available at all library locations for public gatherings of a civic, educational, or cultural nature. However, before contacting your desired library location (info below), please be advised of the following regulations:
- All rooms are free of charge.
- Rooms may not be used for: money raising, commercial/business purposes, social events, partisan political events, religious purposes, and the benefit of private individuals.
- Meetings must be scheduled during regular operating hours to accommodate cleanup and exit of participants.
- Library programs receive first consideration in scheduling meeting rooms. The library retains the right to cancel a reservation and will give at least 24 hours notice.
- Non-profit organizations may charge for seminars or workshops to defray expenses only.
- At the library's discretion, the group may be requested to show an IRS tax exemption letter.
- Food, drink, and smoking are not allowed in rooms, unless otherwise noted below.

Study Rooms A & B may not be reserved ahead of time, as they are only available on a first come, first serve basis.
Lark Branch Library

Special Rules
- User must show ID at the reference desk upon arrival.
- All exceptions must be approved by the branch manager.
Reservations
To reserve a room, please drop in or contact the reference desk of the Lark Branch Library by phone: (956) 688-3320.
Please note that rooms may be reserved up to 2 months in advance. They may be used up to 4 hours at a time and renewed for up to 2 hours during the last 10 minutes of the initial reservation.
There is a limit of 3 reservations per week and a limit of 2 weeks worth of reservations at any one time.
Rooms will be held for a maximum of 15 minutes, unless the user contacts the reference desk to reset the start time.

An ID is required to use all equipment. It is kept in a binder at the circulation desk.
Special Rules
- Meetings should end 15 minutes prior to library closing.
- Noise must be kept to a minimum, as excessive noise can lead to forfeit of the use of the study rooms.
- Bottled water is acceptable in the rooms.
- The person reserving the room is responsible for maintenance of the room.
- Failure to follow the rules will result in suspended study room privileges.
Reservations
To reserve a room, please drop in or contact the circulation desk of the Palm View Branch Library by phone: (956) 688-3322.
Rooms may be reserved up to 3 months in advance. The maximum time allotted per reservation is 4 hours; if more time is required, arrangements must be made with a supervisor.
Rooms will be held for a maximum of 15 minutes unless user contacts the circulation desk to re-schedule the start time.
An ID will be required at the time of use of the study room and will be returned when the room is vacated.
