For Physical Items

If you’re searching for a physical item that is not currently in our collection, you may suggest it for purchase using the form below. This form is for print books, DVDs, video games, and other physical materials only. You must have a valid McAllen Public Library card to submit a request.

All suggestions are reviewed for possible addition to the library’s collection.

If you need a physical item that we do not own, you may also request it through our Interlibrary Loan service with your MPL card.

For Digital eBooks and Audiobooks (Libby)

To recommend a digital eBook or audiobook, search for the title directly in the Libby app or visit https://libbyapp.com/library/mcallen.

If the title is not available, select the “Notify Me” option within Libby. This lets the library know there is interest in the title. If it is purchased, it will automatically be placed on hold for you.
