Hours:
The Main Library is open with normal service hours.
Effective Monday, June 29th, the Lark and Palm View Branches will be open with reduced hours:
Monday-Friday, 10:00am - 5:00pm.
Service Changes:
Drive-Through Pickup Service:
McAllen Public Library is excited to offer Drive-Through Service at our Main Library’s north side driveway. Patrons may pick up requested materials and receive their new or replacement library card. Patrons can also pick up MPL’s latest services: Book Bundles for children, Buzz Kits for teens, and Grab and Go crafts for adults. City of McAllen residents may pick up brown recycle bags with a McAllen water bill or an ID showing a McAllen address.

Online and Virtual Services:
Our E-Branch is always open. You can enjoy thousands of e-books, audiobooks, magazines, online films, and more from the comfort of your home on our E-Branch.
You can find all our virtual programs on our library's Facebook and YouTube pages! Learn how to use a new app, make a new craft, or listen to a story time with your children!
Grab and Go Meals
To better serve your family, McAllen ISD's Grab & Go meal bundle distribution has been extended an hour from 10:30am - 1:30pm, Monday through Friday.
A FREE meal bundle of breakfast, lunch, and a healthy snack for any child and teen 18 years of age and under can be picked up at Main and Palm View Branch Libraries.
